Job summary

Tri-Cities Community Health (TCCH) is seeking a Provider Workforce Coordinator to develop and manage recruitment for physicians, NPs, PAs, dentists, behavioral health providers, pharmacists, and other licensed clinicians. You will build educational partnerships, support residency programs, and ensure smooth onboarding for new hires across TCCH facilities.

The role requires coordinating with leadership and external partners to sustain a robust workforce pipeline and align with TCCH’s development

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Healthcare Administration, Business Administration, Education Administration, Public Health, or related field preferred.
  • Three years of progressively responsible experience in healthcare recruitment, provider relations, academic program coordination, medical education, human resources, or healthcare operations required.

Description

The Provider Workforce Coordinator is responsible for developing, coordinating, and administering provider recruitment activities, student and academic partnerships, residency program support, and provider onboarding functions for Tri-Cities Community Health (TCCH).

This position serves as the primary coordinator for physician, nurse practitioner, physician assistant, dentist, behavioral health provider, pharmacist, and other licensed provider recruitment efforts. The position also coordinates relationships with educational institutions, student placements across all disciplines, residency and training program activities, and a seamless onboarding experience for newly hired providers.

The incumbent works collaboratively with leadership, department directors, human resources, credentialing, clinical operations, academic partners, and external recruitment resources to maintain a robust provider pipeline and support TCCH's workforce development strategy.

  3. Planning and Coordination: Prioritizes and coordinates recruitment, student placement, residency support, and provider onboarding activities while meeting established timelines and organizational needs.
  4. Initiative and Accountability: Demonstrates sound judgment, professionalism, follow-through, and accountability when addressing candidate needs, program requirements, onboarding barriers, and sensitive or confidential matters.
  5. Adaptability and Problem-Solving: Anticipates provider workforce needs, adapts recruitment and pipeline strategies to changing conditions, and proactively resolves barriers affecting candidates, students, providers, or program partners.
  6. Cross-Functional Collaboration: Coordinates effectively across departments to align responsibilities and ensure timely readiness for provider start dates, student placements, and residency program activities.
  7. Resource Stewardship: Uses organizational resources responsibly and evaluates recruitment channels, partnerships, and activities for effectiveness, efficiency, and alignment with workforce priorities.
  8. Data and Results Orientation: Uses recruitment, onboarding, placement, retention, and program outcome data to identify trends, improve processes, and provide accurate, actionable reports to leadership.
  9. Compliance and Confidentiality: Maintains accurate documentation and follows applicable employment requirements, affiliation agreements, accreditation standards, organizational policies, HIPAA, and confidentiality obligations.
WAGE

$77,480 to $103,958 annually

$37.25 - $49.98 / hour

Requirements
Minimum Education

Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Healthcare Administration, Business Administration, Education Administration, Public Health, or related field preferred.

Minimum Work Experience

Three years of progressively responsible experience in healthcare recruitment, provider relations, academic program coordination, medical education, human resources, or healthcare operations required. Experience with provider recruitment and onboarding strongly preferred.

Required Licenses/Certifications

Valid Washington State Driver's License required.

Required Skills, Knowledge, and Abilities
  • Knowledge of healthcare provider recruitment processes.
  • Knowledge of physician, advanced practice provider, dental, behavioral health, and pharmacy workforce requirements.
  • Strong organizational, project management, and relationship-building skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to coordinate multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Experience working with educational institutions and training programs preferred.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and professionalism.
  • Knowledge of credentialing, privileging, and provider onboarding processes preferred.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications and applicant tracking systems.
  • Ability to effectively represent TCCH to prospective employees, academic partners, and community stakeholders.
