Qualifications

  • OKC only— local offices within 30-minute plane ride or travel with the provider team via company vehicle.
  • Prior leadership, preceptor, or team-lead experience required.
  • CPR/BLS required; ACLS preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Observe and record patient behaviors; Collect patient health history.
  • Perform physical examinations and diagnostic tests, such as EKG's or apply and download Holter monitors.
  • Counsel and educate patients and their families on treatment plans.
  • Lead onboarding for new MAs and scribes in the provider pod(s).
  • Lead spot training, skill refreshers, and workflow reinforcement.
  • Prepare and maintain documentation in EMR and ensure HIPAA compliance.
  • Coordinate with supervisors and doctors to decide on treatment plans.

About this position

A Registered Nurse, Provider Team Lead is responsible for supporting provider workflow, coordinating the daily operations of the provider pod(s), supervising Medical Assistants and Scribes, and ensuring high-quality patient care across cardiology, rhythm management, and vascular services. This hybrid role integrates leadership expectations with advanced knowledge of medical assisting and scribe functions. The Team Lead ensures that documentation, patient flow, communication, and clinical processes meet CVHC's standards for accuracy, safety, timeliness, and exceptional patient experience. The Provider Team Lead acts as the central point of contact between providers, support staff, scheduling, diagnostics, and management to ensure efficient, compliant, and patient-centered operations.

Essential Functions of the Role:

  • Observe and record patient behaviors; Collect patient health history
  • Perform physical examinations and diagnostic tests, such as EKG's or apply and download Holter monitors
  • Counsel and educate patients and their families on treatment plans
  • Change wound dressings and care for other treatment options as needed
  • Read and interpret patient information, making treatment decisions when appropriate
  • Consult with supervisors and doctors to decide on the best treatment plan for patients
  • Research ways to improve healthcare processes and improve patient outcomes
  • Assist in developing job aids, SOPs, checklists, and training materials.
  • Lead onboarding for new MAs and scribes in the provider pod(s).
  • Conduct spot training, skill refreshers, and workflow reinforcement.
  • Support new initiatives, policy changes, and SOP rollouts.
  • Support emergency response as needed
  • Completes records by recording patient examination, treatment, and test results in appropriate EMR or record, also access and obtain records from various hospital EMR
  • Maintains a safe, secure, and healthy work environment by following, and enforcing standards and procedures, complying with legal regulations.
  • Maintains patient confidence and protects operations by keeping patient care information confidential and in compliance with HIPAA.
  • Serves and protects the physician or health care provider practice by adhering to professional standards, policies and procedures, federal, state, and local requirements, and Joint Commission on Accreditation of Healthcare Organizations (JCAHO) standards, if applicable.
  • Updates job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities; reading professional publications; maintaining personal networks; participating in professional organizations.
  • Actively works towards positive interdepartmental care coordination to create the most effective patient experience possible.
  • RN to assist ultrasound and nuclear departments with obtaining IV access when needed.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • 2 years working as a Registered Nurse in a clinical practice environment
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office
  • Ability to travel to local offices
  • OKC Only- Local offices include offices accessible via 30-minute plane ride or travel with the provider team via company vehicle
  • Prior leadership, preceptor, or team-lead experience required.
  • CPR/BLS required; ACLS preferred.

Desired Qualifications

  • 3+ years in a clinical practice environment
  • Direct experience in Cardiac or Vascular Healthcare
  • Experience with EMR

Physical & Work Environment Requirements

  • Frequent standing, walking, bending, and room turnover.
  • Ability to lift up to 25-50 lbs depending on pod assignment.
  • Exposure to clinical environments, requiring PPE use.
  • Standard weekday schedule with flexibility for early huddles, late-day documentation, and operational needs.
