Job summary

Equus Workforce Solutions in Texas seeks a Subject Matter Expert for TECPDS to train and support child care providers, plan trainings virtually and in person, and maintain TECPDS expertise through ongoing certification.

You will develop resources, distribute training materials, and analyze provider surveys to inform program improvements, while collaborating with community partners to expand professional development opportunities.

Qualifications

  • Related 4-year degree from an accredited college/university or equivalent combination of education and work experience.
  • Proficient with personal computers for correspondence reports, database access, record keeping, and working knowledge of Microsoft operating systems.
  • Interact with providers daily via face-to-face and/or phone. Commitment to customer-focused service delivery system.
  • Excellent written, verbal communication skills.
  • Exceptional interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work in conjunction with others to overcome obstacles for goal attainment of the client.

Responsibilities

  • Serve as SME for the TECPDS system.
  • Train and support child care providers in TECPDS and related tools.
  • Plan, coordinate and facilitate TECPDS trainings virtually and in person.
  • Maintain TECPDS expertise through ongoing training and certification.
  • Provide technical assistance and guidance to TECPDS programs and mentor staff.
  • Develop and distribute educational resources and training materials for providers.
  • Create and administer provider surveys and assessments, analyze results, and provide recommendations.
  • Collaborate with community partners to coordinate events and trainings.
  • Foster partnerships with local organizations to expand education and professional development.
  • Manage creation and distribution of training certificates and track provider participation.
  • Prepare reports and track program outcomes including engagement and support activities.
  • Communicate child care news, events, resources, and program updates via email/newsletters/social media.
  • Ensure confidentiality and regulatory compliance.
  • Promote inclusive, equitable services for providers, families, and stakeholders.
  • Identify opportunities to improve processes and streamline operations.
  • Build and maintain positive working relationships with providers and partners.
  • Serve as a collaborative team member with cross-functional support.

  • Serve as the Subject Matter Expert (SME) for the Texas Early Childhood Professional Development System (TECPDS).

  • Train and support child care providers in the effective use of TECPDS and related professional development tools.

  • Plan, coordinate, and facilitate TECPDS trainings and informational sessions, both virtually and in person.

  • Maintain TECPDS expertise through ongoing training and certification, including recognition as a TECPDS Records Validator.

  • Provide technical assistance and guidance to child care programs and Texas Rising Star mentor staff.

  • Develop and distribute educational resources, training materials, and child care communications for providers.

  • Create and administer provider surveys and assessments, analyze results, and provide recommendations for program improvement.

  • Collaborate with community partners to coordinate large-scale events, workshops, presentations, and training opportunities.

  • Foster partnerships with local organizations to expand educational and professional development opportunities for child care providers.

  • Manage the creation and distribution of training certificates and maintain accurate records of provider participation.

  • Prepare reports and track program outcomes, including provider engagement and TECPDS support activities.

  • Communicate child care news, events, resources, and program updates through email, newsletters, and social media collaborations.
