Job summary

Dept of State Health Services is seeking a Provider Relations Representative to promote the Texas Health Steps program, recruit providers, and deliver training across Region 8. You will work under the Regional Manager to partner with medical and dental providers, schools, and community groups.

The role emphasizes consultative assistance, policy knowledge, and collaboration with state contractors. Travel up to 60% is expected, with regular scheduling and reporting requirements.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in human services, public health, education, social work or related field.
• Experience with trainings and technical assistance is preferred.
• Knowledge of health care and delivery systems is desirable.

Responsibilities

• Promote THSteps program to providers, agencies, and community groups.
• Provide on-site technical visits to providers to resolve issues.
• Develop and conduct trainings on program policies and procedures.
• Coordinate with state agencies and contractors to improve provider recruitment.
