Job summary

Health Care Service Corporation (HCSC) seeks a provider relations professional to develop and maintain cooperative relationships with providers, facilitate business with HCSC, and elevate provider performance to meet operational and financial goals.

The ideal candidate has a Bachelor’s degree or 6 years of leadership experience, plus 4 years in claims, customer service, or healthcare, and 3 years in provider relations or contracting.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in business OR 6 years leadership experience.
• 4 years’ experience in claims, customer service, physician office or hospital or healthcare environment.
• 3 years’ experience in provider relations, including contracting and reimbursement issues.
• Ability to negotiate and contract with healthcare providers.
• PC proficiency to include Microsoft Office.

Responsibilities

• Provide support and develop cooperative working relationships with providers.
• Facilitate and enhance provider ease of doing business with HCSC.
• Establish and maintain provider relationships to support network performance.
• Serve as resource and escalation point for provider concerns, issue tracking and resolution.
• Educate and train providers; identify trends and evaluate provider performance.
