Core Responsibilities

This position will be part of the Provider Relations Team at the Office of MaineCare Services (OMS) and will focus primarily on tasks in collaboration with the Delivery System Reform Unit (DSRU) and the Provider Engagement and Communications Teams. The primary focus of this role is to support provider-facing activities, including fielding questions from providers, coordinating with internal subject-matter experts, and facilitation of meetings and events that strengthen provider's program understanding

The position will assist with annual provider conferences, supporting provider-specific systems training, facilitation of reoccurring provider meetings, and scheduling and leading additional meetings as needed, including updating training and engagement calendars. This role will consult with DSRU management for content needs and decision making.

This position will monitor tracking for policy compliance for Behavioral Health Homes (BHH), Community Care Teams (CCT) including HOME providers, Opioid Health Homes (OHH), and MaineMOM providers to include sending and tracking compliance-related reports, requesting current staffing roles lists, and reviewing and confirming policy standards are met, and escalating and coordinating with DSRU/Policy on any that are non-compliant. Primary Care Plus (PC Plus) compliance includes supporting the annual recertification process and confirming practices are still meeting requirements. This will include working with those practices that do not meet requirements outside of the recertification process in coordination with DSRU/Policy to address upon notification from the practice.

The position also supports provider recruitment across DSRU programs, in collaboration with DSRU team to recruit and promote the program(s), including onboarding once a provider applies and is approved for a program, and site visits for some of the programs which will include an overview of program requirements or participating in Quality Assurance activities. Additionally, responsibilities include supporting the application processes for all the DSRU programs that have this step (MaineMOM, OHH, BHH, CCT/HOME) and PCPlus by working with the appropriate application tool to manage and track submissions and respond to providers. Coordinating and responding to provider questions daily by working with subject matter experts, participate in and provide feedback to inform future program and policy changes and provide resources on programs and subject-matter specific best practices in collaboration with Provider Engagement and DSRU teams. The position will also support various tasks for the Provider Relations Manager, as needed, to include special projects and collaborating with the Provider Relations Specialists for peer-to-peer training on systems utilized within OMS. This includes participating in workgroups for large projects or initiatives as needed.

Minimum Qualifications

A four (4) year combination of training and experience providing a knowledge of health care administration and community health services.

Preferred experience includes:

• Experience with and knowledge of the Medicaid program and/or other health and human services programs serving low-income populations
• Lived experience with Medicaid and/or other health-related social needs common to individuals and families receiving Medicaid coverage
