Positions in thisfunctionare responsible for supporting the activities of the Provider Relations team. This position is responsible for provider services related to customer service, claims, authorizations, health plan education and issue resolution.


Schedule: Monday to Friday, 8 AM - 5 PM


Location: Onsite - 9 TECHNOLOGY DRIVE IRVINE, CA, 92618


PrimaryResponsibilities:


ServiceExcellence:



  • Servesas a point-of-contacttothe physician network and is responsive tophysician needs

  • Responds timely(within one business day) to providerissues, workswithother groups/centraldepartmentsto resolve issuesand updates providers andoffice staff regularlythrough to resolution

  • Assists the Provider Relations team by researching and resolving issues communicated to Optum by network providers

  • Conducts outreach to provider network as needed via e-mail or telephonically to help remediate inquiries and concerns from members submitted through Optum's Patient Service Center

  • Assists with the review, ongoing tracking and data collection for Optum's providers through the Network Services' onboarding and update processes

  • Provides administrative support to PRMs and PR Department and participates in special projects as assigned


ProviderTrainingand Data Management:



  • Assists the Provider Relations team in setting up and maintaining provider e-files

  • Assists the Provider Relations team in maintaining accurate and timely provider information in Optum databases including, but not limited to, maintaining PRM database

  • Ensures that provider offices have a Practice Connect "account" assigned and assists in the resolution of provider questions/issues related to Practice Connect usage


Growthand Retention:



  • Monitors and identifies trends onmembership decline and escalates toleadership as appropriate

RequiredQualifications:



  • High School Diploma/GED (or higher)

  • 1+ years of experience in ahealth plan, managed careorganization, medicalgroupphysicianoffice or IPAsetting

  • 1+ years of Provider Relations experience working with physicians

  • Intermediate levelofproficiencywithMicrosoftSuite

  • Access to a reliable transportation and must possess a valid US driver's license


PreferredQualification:



  • 3+ years of Provider Relations experience working with physicians

  • 3+years ofexperience in ahealth plan, managed careorganization, medicalgroup physicianofficeorIPAsetting

  • Positive attitude and outgoing personality



The salary range for this role is $19.86 to $38.85 per hour based on full-time employment. Pay is based on several factors including but not limited to local labor markets, education, work experience, certifications, etc. UnitedHealth Group complies with all minimum wage laws as applicable.
