Job summary

IH is seeking a Provider Contracting & Reimbursement Analyst-Intermediate to analyze utilization, claims, membership, and costs for network contracting. You will build analytical tools, interpret data, and present actionable recommendations to management.

Role emphasizes reimbursement modeling, cost drivers, and collaboration across departments to ensure high-value care and alignment with organizational strategies.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required; MBA or advanced degree preferred.
• Three years of analytics experience or an advanced degree plus two years.
• Experience in data analysis, statistics, or health care analytics preferred.
• Proficient in Access, Excel and other tools (SQL, SAS, Fabric).
• Knowledge of health care reimbursement methodologies preferred.
• Strong statistical concepts and data modeling for provider networks.
• Ability to frame questions that create business value.
• Experience building analysis tools for trend and cost drivers.
• Ability to define problems, gather data, and present results clearly.
• Attention to detail and data validation expertise.
• Work well across departments with excellent communication.

Responsibilities

• Independently design and conduct analyses after identifying business needs.
• Present analytics results and recommend actions to management.
• Create analytic tools to support strategic reimbursement and pricing decisions.
• Demonstrate understanding of coding requirements (DRG, CPT, dx codes).
• Analyze provider networks, cost, utilization trends and fee changes.
• Advise on reimbursement/regulatory changes impacting financials.
• Lead analytics on alternative reimbursement initiatives and policy changes.
• Document procedures, steps and results clearly.
• Validate data and ensure report accuracy with QA methods.
• Support data warehousing and new cost estimators initiatives.
• Build trust in reports and analyses.
