Join one of the nation’s most comprehensive academic medical centers, UChicago Medicine, as a Provider Referral Marketing Manager in our Marketing department. This position will be primarily a work from home opportunity with the requirement to come onsite as needed.

The Provider Referral Marketing Manager at UCMC will drive physician referral acquisition and enhance revenue generation through comprehensive marketing strategies. The role entails conducting primary provider research and leveraging secondary information sources to gain deep insights into category dynamics, trends, referral behavior, and competitive activity. Key responsibilities include utilizing data and analytics to develop profiles and personas for different physician segments and conducting market research to optimize the B2B user experience for physicians. The manager will implement market-based strategies across multiple channels, focusing on personalized and targeted digital and traditional marketing campaigns tailored to physicians' needs and interests. Additional duties involve identifying lead generation opportunities within the physician community, addressing and solving challenges faced by physicians, and executing integrated multichannel plans. The role requires close collaboration with Public Relations, Physician Relations, and Creative teams to create a cohesive brand and outreach program, positioning UCMC as a leading healthcare provider in the B2B market.

Essential Job Functions

  1. Conduct primary provider research and leverage various secondary information sources to maintain a deep understanding of category dynamics, including trends, insights, referral behavior, and competitive activity.
  2. Utilize data and analytics to create segmented profiles of physicians and develop personas for different physician segments.
  3. Conduct market research to develop insights and optimize user experience for physicians within the B2B/P market.
  4. Implement market-based strategies to increase physician referral acquisition and revenue generation.
  5. Implement physician-centric marketing plans across multiple channels and tactics, focusing on physicians' unique touchpoints, preferences, and other key decision-makers.
  6. Identify opportunities for lead generation within the physician community and execute proactive strategies to address them.
  7. Proactively address challenges physicians face throughout the community and execute solutions to enhance their experience and satisfaction with UCM.
  8. Develop and execute strategies for physician engagement across various stages of their professional journey within the B2B market.
  9. Lead physician referral acquisition efforts through targeted digital and traditional campaigns explicitly tailored to the needs and interests of physicians.
  10. Create personalized campaigns that drive growth and expansion by addressing physicians' unique challenges and priorities in the B2B market.
  11. Execute integrated multichannel plans for identified physician verticals within the B2B market.
  12. Collaborate with Public Relations, Physician Relations, and Creative to create a cohesive brand and outreach program.
  13. Execute opportunities to position UCM as a leading healthcare provider in the B2B/P market, focusing on the needs and preferences of physicians.
  14. Lead the execution of long-term strategies for physician management to drive retention and expansion within the B2B/P market.
  15. Identify and prioritize physician engagement touchpoints within the B2B/P market.
  16. Stay updated on healthcare trends, policies, and market dynamics relevant to physicians in the B2B/P market.
  17. Execute educational content, online presence, and social media to increase physician acquisition for UCM within the B2B/P sector.
  18. Fulfill specified OKRs or meet new and existing physician referral acquisition targets within the B2B/P sector.
  19. Lead the creation and delivery of core assets tailored to physicians in collaboration with cross-functional partners.
  20. Ensure legal and regulatory compliance and medical accuracy of all marketing materials targeting physicians and key decision-makers within the B2B/P sector.
  21. Work with external agencies to execute promotional strategies through personal and non-personal channels targeting physicians within the B2B/P sector.

Required Qualifications

  1. Bachelor's degree in marketing, business administration, healthcare management, or a related field (master's preferred)
  2. Minimum of 5 years of experience in marketing, preferably within the healthcare or B2B sector
  3. Proven track record in physician referral marketing and acquisition
  4. Experience in data analysis, market research, and the development of marketing strategies
  5. Strong analytical skills with the ability to leverage data and analytics to create segmented profiles and develop personas
  6. Expertise in digital and traditional marketing channels, including social media, content marketing, and direct marketing
  7. Excellent project management skills with the ability to lead cross-functional teams and manage multiple projects simultaneously
  8. Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to create compelling marketing materials
  9. Knowledge of healthcare trends, policies, and market dynamics
  10. Familiarity with legal and regulatory compliance in healthcare marketing
  11. Strategic thinker with a proactive approach to identifying opportunities and solving challenges
  12. Collaborative team player with experience working with public relations, physician relations, and creative teams
  13. Detail-oriented with a commitment to accuracy and quality in all marketing materials
  14. Ability to stay updated on the latest trends and insights in healthcare marketing and digital transformation

UChicago Medicine is committed to transparency in compensation and benefits. The pay range provided reflects the anticipated wage or salary reasonably expected to be offered for the position.

The pay range is based on a full-time equivalent (1.0 FTE) and is reflective of current market data, reviewed on an annual basis. Compensation offered at the time of hire will vary based on candidate qualifications and experience and organizational considerations, such as internal equity. Pay ranges for employees subject to Collective Bargaining Agreements are negotiated by the medical center and their respective union.
