Job summary

Qualifications

  • 2+ years experience in healthcare-related fields required; managed care or health plan experience strongly preferred.
  • Experience with Microsoft Office suite and general office equipment mandatory.
  • Experience with Electronic Health Records mandatory.
  • Medical terminology knowledge mandatory; CPT II codes preferred.
  • Current CPR certification preferred.

Overall Purpose:

The Provider Operations Coordinator (POC) role combines operational support initiatives with special projects focused on supporting HEDIS quality gap closures, Risk Adjustment activities, and provider engagement. The position requires daily problem-solving, meticulous tracking, and coordination across departments to meet changing requirements. The POC supervises assigned affiliate groups, provides support to clinics, and engages stakeholders and patients for education and preventive care.

  • Medical Assistant Certification or experience as Pharmacy Tech, Radiology Tech, Lab Tech, or similar strongly preferred.
  • Experience with data mining preferred.
  • Medical terminology knowledge mandatory; experience with CPT II codes preferred.
  • Current CPR certification preferred.

Work Conditions:

  • Must be able to travel within the assigned region and work up to 90% of the schedule at provider offices.
  • Must have a valid driver’s license, safe driving record, and reliable transportation.

Physical Requirements:

  • Work is performed in a typical office environment; seated, talking on the phone, occasional standing or walking, and lifting up to 25 pounds.
