Provider Manager – Food Allergy Institute, Long Beach, CA (Onsite) – Full‑Time, Monday‑Friday

Base pay range: $155,000/yr – $155,000/yr (final pay will reflect skills and experience)

Who We’re Looking For

We seek a Command Center Manager who embodies FAI’s mission through direct and indirect patient care, leveraging innovative approaches and AI technology. The role leads a team of on‑call providers, nurses, and support staff, and serves as the primary liaison between the Logistics MD and virtual/in‑clinic staff.

Responsibilities
  • Oversee patient reactions and complex cases from virtual and non‑virtual FAI members, ensuring proper triage and escalation.
  • Control the Command Center’s operational guidance using proprietary tools such as Pantaleon, Salesforce, Domo, and HubSpot.
  • Collect and analyze metrics, apply data analytics, and use machine learning to identify patients needing follow‑up or outside normal parameters.
  • Collaborate with the Logistics MD to implement and enhance protocols ensuring patient safety.
  • Communicate consistently with virtual and in‑clinic staff to provide updates, define patient plans, and demonstrate critical thinking in decision making.
  • Manage pull‑up and round escalation leads, settle cases, assist with written escalation reports, and conduct escalation rounds in the AM and PM.
  • Perform scheduled telehealth appointments and handle all tickets promptly.
  • Collaborate with Remission, Scheduling, Billings, Philanthropy, Data, and other departments to ensure overall patient care and satisfaction.
  • Lead scheduling oversight, approve time‑off requests, audit timecards, and support payroll processing.
  • Assist in recruiting, hiring, training, evaluating, and coaching the Command Center team.
  • Develop and maintain educational materials, SOPs, and reaction algorithms; conduct annual reviews.
  • Promote a positive work culture, address staff concerns, and provide constructive feedback.
  • Guarantee accurate, timely hand‑off of patient status to colleagues and resolve performance concerns with Pod MD and Lead Provider.
  • Utilize data collection to identify opportunities for improvement and integrate practice changes as needed.
  • Perform all other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
  • Graduate of an accredited Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant School.
  • Current California NP and RN or PA license.
  • National Provider Identification Number (NPI).
  • Maintenance or NP or PA Certifications.
  • PALS, BLS, and ACLS Certification required.
  • Extensive knowledge of SF, Athena, Pantaleon, and adaptability to new software.
  • EMR experience required.
  • Customer‑service and professional environment experience required.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and Google Suite.
  • Team mentality and positive working attitude.
