Job summary

Unum seeks a Network Data Specialist to research and resolve provider data issues across claims processing and record systems. You will evaluate conflicting information, determine root causes, and decide escalation paths. You’ll support data accuracy for claims, directories, and privacy while collaborating with claims and network teams.

The role requires strong Excel skills, clear written and verbal communication, and meticulous attention to detail to ensure compliant data management.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree preferred, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Proven ability to research issues, evaluate information, determine root cause, and recommend solutions.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills; ability to summarize findings clearly.

Responsibilities

• Research and diagnose provider data issues across multiple systems.
• Determine root cause and assess downstream impacts to claims and reporting.
• Update provider, location, and payee data per standards when in scope.
• Document findings, actions, and outcomes for auditability and data integrity.
