Job summary

First Managed Care Option, Inc. in Parsippany, NJ is seeking a Provider Contract Manager to oversee contract activities from outreach to execution and implementation, ensuring network adequacy and compliant processes.

You will recruit providers, negotiate terms, maintain contracts, and coordinate with internal teams to drive network growth and performance.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree preferred.
• 2-5+ years of experience in provider relations, managed care, healthcare contracting, network development, or provider recruitment, preferred.
• Strong negotiation, communication, and relationship-management skills.
• Ability to understand and interpret healthcare contracts and reimbursement terms.
• Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple contracting and recruitment projects simultaneously.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office and provider/network management systems.

Responsibilities

• Manage the provider contract process from initial outreach through contract execution and implementation.
• Develop and maintain relationships with physicians, medical groups, facilities, and other healthcare providers.
• Recruit new providers to meet network adequacy, access, specialty, and geographic needs.
• Conduct provider outreach and identify opportunities to strengthen network coverage.
• Coordinate contract negotiations, including reimbursement rates, terms, amendments, and renewals.
• Review provider contracts and ensure required documentation is completed accurately and timely.
• Work collaboratively with other internal departments.
• Monitor provider participation and identify gaps or opportunities for network expansion.
• Maintain accurate provider and contract information in internal systems.
• Respond to provider questions regarding contracts, participation, reimbursement, and network requirements.
• Assist with provider onboarding and implementation following contract execution.
• Track contracting and recruitment activity, including pipeline status, executed agreements, and outstanding issues.
• Support provider retention and relationship-management initiatives.
• Ensure contracting activities comply with organizational policies, regulatory requirements, and applicable healthcare regulations.
• Prepare reports and presentations regarding network growth, contracting activity, and provider recruitment.

Position Summary

The salary range for this position is starting at $60,000 and may vary based on factors such as relevant experience, education, skills, internal equity, and market considerations. Final compensation will be determined during the interview process and in alignment with applicable law.
