Overview

The Compensation Analyst evaluates and processes all provider positions throughout Presbyterian Healthcare Services (PHS) for placement in the salary structure. This person supports the Provider Compensation and Human Resources team in analyzing equity placement, national provider market data, pay practices, reorganization initiatives, and provider compensation plans.

Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Finance, or Accounting.
  • Provider compensation experience preferred.
  • Excel skills required.
  • Experience with Lawson preferred.
Responsibilities
  • Analyzes and compiles provider national compensation market data and percentile calculations for benchmarking purposes.
  • Conducts and completes external market surveys. Runs queries to extract data necessary for completing external salary surveys.
  • Participates in developing the Salary Structure and Wage Adjustment Recommendations for each specialty.
  • Assists in researching and preparing innovative provider compensation plans.
  • Prepares scenario analyses to assess the impact of potential compensation plans.
  • Develops and maintains policies for publishing in the online HR Document Library. Collaborates with the IS Web Team to design webpages, graphics, and relevant links for Provider Compensation resources.
  • Represents the Provider Compensation team at committee, task group, and departmental meetings. Works on related assignments and projects. Interacts with various levels of leadership, professionals, and employees.
  • Maintains established compensation policies and procedures, updating as necessary. Acts as a resource for organization on compensation policy.
  • Performs HRIS queries/audits, manages Excel spreadsheets and graphs. Serves as liaison with information services staff to resolve programming issues. Recommends new equipment or software to support objectives.
  • Regularly monitors and analyzes key provider compensation statistics, data, trends, and best practices. Provides formal reports to assist in decision-making and planning.
  • Provides customer service to PHS employees, managers, and occasionally non-employees via phone or in person.
  • Escalates problems within the team to ensure resolution.
  • Serves as a link between management and employees by responding to questions, interpreting, and administering policies and procedures, and helping resolve work-related issues.
  • Uses all available resources to respond to incoming requests, aiming to resolve customer concerns effectively.
  • Supports the Vision, Values, Purpose, and Strategies of PHS. Maintains professionalism in communication with all customers, internal and external.
  • Builds relationships with a proactive, agile, and urgent approach to meet business needs and showcase HR's contribution to organizational objectives.
  • Other duties as assigned.
