Job summary

St.-Joseph is seeking an in-home caregiver to assist elderly or recovering patients with personal hygiene, meals, mobility, and daily activities in their homes in Fort Stockton, Texas. You will support medication reminders and accompany clients to appointments as needed.

The role emphasizes compassionate, one-on-one care with flexible schedules and a strong focus on safety and quality of life for clients.

Qualifications

• Must be compassionate and supportive in a one-on-one care setting.
• Valid driver’s license with reliable daily transportation.
• Able to work varied shifts, including nights and weekends.
• Experience in healthcare, hospitality, or in-home care preferred.
• Priority on health and safety standards.

Responsibilities

• Provide personal hygiene assistance (showering, bathing, dressing, eating).
• Remind clients to take prescribed medications.
• Assist with mobility and accompany to appointments or walks.
• Plan and prepare meals and assist with daily living needs.
• Complete shopping or accompany clients to shops.
• Perform housekeeping duties for clients’ homes.
• Report incidents and respond to emergencies.
• Offer activities essential to daily living and meal support.

Responsibilities

• Provide personal hygiene assistance for elderly patients or those recovering from surgeries, injuries or accidents by attending to their basic needs, such as showering, bathing, dressing and eating
• Remindclients to take prescribed medication
• Help with mobility around the house or outside (doctor’s appointments, walks etc.)
• Assist with personal care and hygiene
• Plan and prepare meals
• Complete client’s shopping or accompany them to successfully do so
• Perform housekeeping duties
• Report any unusual incidents and act quickly and responsibly in cases of emergency
• Offer activities that areessential for daily living by assisting patients with their meals, including serving and other tasks, if necessary

Qualifications

• Enjoy working in a one-on-one setting, eager to improve and continuously learn new skills
• Ability to perform all essential job functions with or without accommodations
• Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation every single day
• Validated ability to act in a compassionate and supportive manner
• Available to work different shifts, including nights and/or weekends
• Prior experience in a healthcare, hospitality, or in-home care environment (minimum of 1 year)
