Job summary

St.-Joseph is seeking a compassionate in-home caregiver in Fort Stockton, TX to support elderly or recovering clients with daily living needs, including hygiene, mobility, meals, and medication reminders.

You will work one-on-one with clients, maintain safety standards, and report incidents promptly. A valid driver’s license and reliable transportation are required, with shifts including nights and weekends where needed.

Qualifications

• Ability to work one-on-one with clients and continually learn
• Capable of performing essential job functions with/without accommodations
• Must have valid driver’s license and reliable daily transportation
• Demonstrated compassion and supportive care for clients
• Availability for different shifts, including nights/weekends
• Minimum 1 year healthcare/hospitality/in-home care experience
• Commitment to health and safety standards
• Certified as a caregiver or related experience preferred

Responsibilities

• Provide personal hygiene assistance and daily living support
• Remind clients to take prescribed medications
• Assist with mobility and accompany to appointments or outings
• Plan and prepare meals
• Complete shopping or accompany clients
• Perform housekeeping duties
• Report unusual incidents and respond in emergencies
• Offer daily living activities and assist with meals when needed

Responsibilities

• Provide personal hygiene assistance for elderly patients or those recovering from surgeries, injuries or accidents by attending to their basic needs, such as showering, bathing, dressing and eating
• Remindclients to take prescribed medication
• Help with mobility around the house or outside (doctor’s appointments, walks etc.)
• Assist with personal care and hygiene
• Plan and prepare meals
• Complete client’s shopping or accompany them to successfully do so
• Perform housekeeping duties
• Report any unusual incidents and act quickly and responsibly in cases of emergency
• Offer activities that areessential for daily living by assisting patients with their meals, including serving and other tasks, if necessary

Qualifications

• Enjoy working in a one-on-one setting, eager to improve and continuously learn new skills
• Ability to perform all essential job functions with or without accommodations
• Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation every single day
• Validated ability to act in a compassionate and supportive manner
