Job summary

Bird in Providence, RI is seeking entrepreneurial individuals or logistics businesses to manage local fleet logistics for e-scooters and e-bikes as independent contractors. You will charge, deploy, relocate, and retrieve vehicles to meet community transportation needs.

You may secure your own charging space or transport vehicles to Bird’s central warehouse. This is pay-per-task with earnings tied to output and an hourly range of $20-$30. You’ll manage your own schedule and expenses.

Qualifications

• Own or have access to a large vehicle (van/truck) for transporting multiple scooters/bikes.
• Access to a garage/warehouse with electricity preferred for overnight charging.
• Valid Class 5 Driver’s License with clean driving record.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds repeatedly and stand for long periods.
• Flexible schedule with weekend availability.
• Comfort with learning new mobile tools to manage fleet.
• Strong knowledge of Providence local geography.

Responsibilities

• Fleet Transportation: move scooters/e-bikes across Providence daily.
• Task-Based Operations: choose Retrieve & Charge or Retrieve & Drop-off models.
• Operational Management: manage end-to-end operation of your portfolio.
• Maintenance & Quality: perform light checks for safety and environmental impact.
• Field Execution: adapt to obstacles and navigate local geography.
