Job summary

Latitude AI is hiring a Service Technician Associate to join the Service Operations team. You will perform electric and hybrid vehicle maintenance and support, and complete independent project tasks while collaborating with internal and external customers.

You will diagnose issues, document findings, and work with cross-functional teams on electrical and autonomous systems. The role requires a high school diploma and vehicle experience, with travel up to 15% for training or support.

Qualifications

Meet The Team

As a Service Technician Associate you will work as part of the Service Operations team providing electric and hybrid vehicle mechanical maintenance and support. In this position you will also perform independent project tasks and collaborate with internal and external customers and team members.

What You’ll Do

• Accurately document all findings and track time accordingly
• Diagnose issues using supplied hardware and software combinations
• Communicate with cross functioning teams on electrical and electronic systems and autonomous control systems
• Assemble, modify, and repair wiring harnesses from schematics, using hand tools and proper assembly and rework techniques
• Experience with flashing and re-flashing automotive control modules and CAN (Controller Area Network) bus operation
• Follow documented work instructions completely and accurately
• Validate DAT (Driver Assist Technologies), ADAS (Advanced Driver Assist Systems), AV (Autonomous Vehicle) and EV (Electric Vehicle) systems functionality
• Work in small teams as needed to complete any engineering requirements
• Maintain a clean and organized workspace

What You'll Need To Succeed

• High School Diploma or GED equivalent with two (2) years of employment experience
• Experience working on vehicles professionally
• Knowledge of vehicle diagnostic hardware and software
• Able to work independently and as part of a team
• Effective written and verbal communication skills
• Familiar with the use of oscilloscope or picoscope
• Expect to potentially travel up to 15% of the time for training and/or support of other office locations
• Must have valid driver’s license and ability to meet Latitude AI’s minimum driving record requirements, as verified by Motor Vehicle Record background checks prior to hire and periodically thereafter
• Ability to meet Latitude’s Vehicle Operator safety screening requirements, including drug screening and criminal background checks conducted prior to hire and periodically thereafter

Nice To Have

• Associate degree in Engineering Technology or similar
• Knowledge of Google Suite programs including Documents, Sheets and Gmail
• Experience with the function, installation, repair, and replacement of autonomous vehicles or active safety equipment
• Familiar with vehicle integration software and data collection
