The position involves driving approximately 80% of the time and inspecting/reporting the remaining 20%. A valid license, a clean 5-year record, and GED or HS diploma are required; some travel and a second shift are possible.

Qualifications

• Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record (past 5 years).
• Minimum of 5 years of driving experience with a proven safe driving record.
• Basic knowledge of vehicle systems and electronics; ability to document issues clearly.

Responsibilities

• Safely operate designated test vehicles on routes across multiple locations.
• Perform daily vehicle evaluations and inspect 100+ components per shift.
• Simulate typical customer driving behavior per instructions.
• Accurately report observations and issues to technicians and engineers.
• Prioritize safety and report near-misses and safety concerns.
• Operate prototype vehicles under confidentiality protocols.
