Job summary

ZF Active Safety US Inc. in Livonia, MI seeks a Vehicle Technician to perform brake component installation and repair on prototype vehicles. You will assist engineers with test equipment, support customer demonstrations, and help with winter test supply logistics as needed.

The role requires a high school diploma or equivalent, with a preference for an associate degree in automotive technology and automotive certifications. A valid driver’s license is required; CDL is preferred.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is required.
• Associate degree in automotive technology preferred.
• Automotive certifications are a plus.

Responsibilities

• Perform brake component installation and repair on prototype vehicles.
• Assist engineers during installation and transfer of test measurement equipment.
• Support customer vehicle demonstrations as required.
• Assist with delivery or procurement of winter test supplies as needed.
• Interface with internal and external customers on technical matters.
• Maintain engineering procedures to meet cost, reliability and manufacturing goals.
• Provide facility maintenance support when needed.
