Job summary

International Motors, LLC is seeking a Commercial Vehicle Diagnostic Technician to diagnose and troubleshoot electrical issues on medium- and heavy-duty prototype vehicles. You will use CAN analyzers and NEXIQ interfaces, interpret wiring schematics, and support prototype development and validation.

The role requires collaboration with engineering, documentation of findings, and accurate maintenance of test records to ensure performance and reliability targets are met.

Qualifications

• Associate’s degree required; no experience.
• Or at least 2 years supporting engineering activities or automotive/diesel mechanic experience.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose electrical and electronic issues on medium- and heavy-duty prototype vehicles.
• Use diagnostic software and tools to identify root causes and support system validation.
• Interpret wiring schematics and engineering drawings for troubleshooting and development.
• Perform wiring harness repairs, modifications, and fabrication for prototypes.
• Document findings and communicate design concerns to engineers.
