Job summary

Festo Corporation in Mason, OH seeks a skilled Technician to support prototype builds and production optimization. You will bridge prototype work to serial production, identify documentation gaps, and drive improvements while communicating with engineering and production teams.

The role emphasizes reading schematics, using MS Office, and collaborating with design engineers to ensure quality and timely execution in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED; or minimum one-year related experience or training.
• Basic Electrical education/knowledge preferred.
• SAP experience is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Compare BOM’s to schematics and assembly drawings; communicate discrepancies to engineering.
• Identify tooling and jigs/fixtures needed for efficient serial production.
• Build prototypes according to documentation, including incomplete ones.
• Record and communicate missing or inaccurate information to engineering.
• Confirm builds comply with workmanship and customer/industry standards.
• Analyze production steps and calculate standard production time by operation.
• Confirm/optimize quality checklists and torque charts.
• Attend and participate in project meetings.
• Manage and report status on open and upcoming projects.
• Build and maintain relationships with design engineers.
• Assist in harness build and support construction documentation and wire lists.
• Perform any other tasks deemed by the manager.
