Job summary

Heron Power is hiring a senior Build Program Leader to drive the transition from prototype to high-volume production. You will own the pilot build technician team, lead the program end-to-end, and partner with design, manufacturing, supply chain, quality, and EPMs to ensure a synchronized plan with minimal surprises.

You will manage readiness, ramp-to-volume, and manufacturing process handoffs while staying hands-on on the factory floor as the organization scales.

Qualifications

7+ years in NPI, prototype build, or manufacturing engineering in hardware.
2–3+ years managing a technician or build team.
Experience owning prototype or early engineering builds end-to-end.

Responsibilities

Own end-to-end build program execution for prototype and early engineering builds.
Lead the pilot technician team and scale structure and career paths.
Coordinate across design, manufacturing, supply chain, quality, and EPMs to keep builds aligned with a plan.
Maintain build readiness plans and run readiness reviews.
Own manufacturing transition of early processes to production.
Manage master build schedule and risk mitigation with long-lead components.
Monitor yield and drive root-cause/corrective actions for builds.
Provide dashboards and KPI reporting on build health and delivery.
Identify cost and process improvements and lead trade-off discussions.
