Job summary

Eaton's EPG CPD Circuit Protection Division is seeking a Master Technician - R&D to join the Advanced Technology team in Moon Township, PA. You will assist in fabricating, building, and testing prototype samples for lab evaluations and customer pilots, ensuring high-quality builds under project guidance.

The role requires hands-on skills with mechanical drawings, tool use, and data collection, with opportunities to lead tasks and coordinate lab infrastructure improvements for development testing.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution OR Associate's Degree with at least 3 years of experience OR a High School Diploma/GED with at least 5 years of experience.
• Three years of experience working in a product development environment with mechanical or electo-mechanical products.
• Eaton will not consider applicants for employment immigration sponsorship or support for this position.
• No relocation benefit is being offered for this position. Only candidates within a 50-mile radius of Moon Township, PA will be considered.

Responsibilities

• Understand mechanical drawings and assembly documentation while working with Engineering Team to properly build prototypes.
• Use various hand/power tools to build engineering samples and test fixtures to specification.
• Fabricate parts using approved machinery and methods.
• Prepare lab validation tests at the direction of project engineering team.
• Collect, record, and plot test data in an organized fashion.
• Establish a working knowledge of standard test procedures; understand lab equipment capabilities and care.
• Conduct onsite product validation tests using approved test devices and procedures.
• Lead, direct, coordinate, and close assignments with initiative and resourcefulness.
• Plan and coordinate purchasing and installation of new equipment for development labs.
• Maintain equipment by coordinating repairs or calibration.
