Job summary

Eaton’s ES AMER ARS division seeks a Lead Technician, Prototyping Test, onsite in Moon Twp, PA. You will lead fabrication, assembly, and testing of engineering prototypes and production samples, translating drawings into safe, repeatable test setups and documenting results.

You will collaborate with electrical, mechanical, firmware, and manufacturing teams to accelerate learning, identify failures, and deliver reliable data for new product development and certification.

Qualifications

• Associate degree in electrical/electromechanical field from an accredited institution.
• Minimum four years in an engineering lab or similar test environment.
• Experience building, wiring, instrumenting, and testing prototypes and fixtures.
• Ability to read schematics and engineering drawings.
• Experience with diagnostic instruments and hand/power tools.

Responsibilities

• Lead and perform electrical, electronic, and mechanical prototype testing from setup to final report.
• Fabricate, wire, solder, modify, and rework prototypes and harnesses per drawings.
• Develop repeatable test methods, instrument layouts, and data-acquisition approaches.
• Operate lab instruments and shop equipment safely and maintain calibration.
• Analyze data, identify failure modes, and recommend next steps.
• Prepare detailed test plans, setup diagrams, photos, and technical reports.
