Job summary

Marks in East Butler, PA is seeking a Prototype Technician to build client prototypes from engineering directions, validating form, fit and function of industrial designs. This onsite role requires hands-on fabrication and collaboration with engineers to drive creative solutions.

You will use shop tools to assemble, verify instructions, and support field installations while maintaining a focus on quality, safety, and timely delivery.

Qualifications

• Combination of education and/or experience sufficient to perform key responsibilities.
• Ability to travel as necessary.
• Proficiency in MS Office Suite, Outlook & Internet applications.
• Strong analytical, prioritizing, interpersonal, problem-solving, presentation, & planning skills.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Able to work autonomously and in a team in a fast-paced environment.
• Self-motivated with attention to detail and deadlines.
• Willing to work overtime as necessary.

Responsibilities

• Assemble and pack complete setups for brand activation, pilot or flagship stores.
• Redline drawings for changes.
• Assess challenges and risks of product.

• Present ideas to engineering for alternate construction.
• Assist in transferring information to manufacturing.
• Install prototypes in the field as required.
• Take on additional duties as required.

POSITION SUMMARY

The Prototype Technician builds prototypes for clients based on direction provided by engineering. The purpose of these prototypes is to validate to form, fit and function of the industrial design,

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

• Builds prototypes per specifications using tools and equipment such as table saw, miter saw, grinder, drills etc.
• Build, collate and pack complete set ups for Brand activation, pilot or flagship stores
• Redlines drawings for changes/corrections.
• Assesses challenges and risks of product.
• Validates instruction sheets.
• Presents ideas to engineering for alternate construction.
• Assists as required to transfer information to manufacturing.
• Installs prototypes in the field as required.
• Additional duties as required.

QUALIFICATIONS

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several U.S. geographic markets, and we pay differently based on those defined markets. The U.S. pay range for this position is $50,000 USD - $60,000 USD annually. Ultimately, in determining pay, we will consider the successful candidate’s location, experience, and other job-related factors.
