Job summary

Air Liquide Newark, DE is seeking a Research Engineer - Mechanical to drive end-to-end prototype systems, bridging mechanical, electrical, and software for pilot deployments.

You will lead system design, integrate hardware and software, and validate prototypes at customer sites, preparing hand-offs to manufacturing and operations. Collaboration with R&D, sales, strategy and operations is key, with focus on scalable, lifecycle-ready solutions.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's in Mechanical, Electrical, or Software Engineering.
• Experience in rapid prototyping and system integration.
• Ability to translate complex concepts into SOPs.
• Strong communication and organizational skills.
• Ability to work across R&D, sales, strategy, and operations.

Responsibilities

• System Design and Integration: Lead end-to-end prototype systems.
• Customer Pilot Deployment & Tech Transfer: Deploy and validate at pilot sites.
• Technical Problem Solving: Diagnose complex prototype failures.
