Job summary

AllianceIT Inc. seeks a Manufacturing Technician to support manufacturing operations, working with engineers on setup and calibration tasks, and performing rework and quality testing for parts, components, subassemblies, and final assemblies.

The role uses programs to collect operating data for on-line adjustments and to help develop methods to improve the manufacturing process. Strong attention to safety and quality is required.

Qualifications

• US Citizen
• Read, write and follow English instructions
• Able to lift/push/pull up to 40 pounds
• Able to stand for long hours and work flexible shifts
• Proficient with Microsoft Office tools and basic shop math

Responsibilities

• Fabricate or assemble mechanical components for larger assemblies.
• Set up and test prototypes and subassemblies under operational conditions.
• Support mechanical engineers in design and testing work.
• Perform manufacturing tasks including set-up, calibration, rework and quality testing.
• Use data collection programs to monitor equipment and product performance.
• Develop methods to control or modify manufacturing processes.
• Handle and manage fragile composite materials.
• Record usage, traceability, pot life and out times for adhesives.
• Prepare data reports and coordinate with other departments.
• Read and interpret engineering drawings and shop plans.
• Support shop cleanliness and organization.
