Job summary

OmniOn Power Inc. is seeking an Electronic Design Mechanical Technician with 1 to 3 years of hands-on experience to assemble prototypes and validate power supplies for telecom and data center applications.

You will perform thermal testing, document results, and support engineering teams in interpreting test data while maintaining ISO-aligned lab standards and safety practices. The role requires the ability to handle up to 40-pound components and 750 KCMIL cables.

Qualifications

  • Associate degree or two years of engineering study/experience.
  • Experience with 208/240/480V AC, voltmeters, and data logging.
  • Ability to interpret technical requirements for power systems.
  • Knowledge of thermal measurement techniques.

Responsibilities

  • Interpret assembly drawings, electrical schematics, and block diagrams.
  • Prototype DC power systems assembly for telecom/datacenter apps.
  • Wire AC/DC power cables, assemble busbars and breaker panels.
  • Apply thermocouples for thermal measurements on components.
  • Set up data acquisition instruments, variacs, and load banks.
  • Perform thermal testing of AC/DC power systems and document results.
  • Support engineers in interpreting and duplicating non-compliances.
  • Maintain lab testing and calibration per ISO requirements.
  • Follow Health, Safety and Environmental procedures (LOTO).
