Job summary

Vishay Duluth is seeking a Prototype Operator to support our on-site manufacturing team. You will build prototype units from sketches and CAD drawings, perform testing, and assist with tooling and documentation as parts move from NPI to production.

The position is Monday–Friday, 7:00 AM–3:30 PM, in Duluth, MN, with starting pay of $24 per hour and potential additional compensation based on experience. A background in manufacturing and 4–6 years of related experience is required.

Qualifications

• 4-6 years of related experience in manufacturing/production.

Responsibilities

• Utilizes minimal documentation such as sketches, CAD drawings, diagrams and verbal descriptions to build prototype units.
• Performs testing and data collection on protypes and pre-production units.
• Assists with the design of tooling and documentation to be used in the manufacturing process.
• Provides technical assistance to manufacturing and serves as a liaison as parts go from NPI to production.
• Assembles and tests products for production jobs.
