Job summary

ITW Food Equipment Group’s Vulcan division seeks a CBI Laboratory Technician to join the New Product Development Team. You will prototype and test solutions, develop test procedures, and support quality improvements and certifications. Independent work and curiosity drive milestones.

Responsibilities include applying the Stage-Gate process, collaborating with Engineering, and documenting procedures while advancing product milestones in a hands-on lab environment.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma required; Associate's degree preferred.
• 3+ years’ experience with food service equipment or similar.
• English required; professional presence and independent work style.
• Strong hands-on shop skills in assembly/testing prototypes.
• Familiarity with SolidWorks a plus; basic lab/test equipment experience.

Responsibilities

• Pioneer new cooking technologies and advanced controls development.
• Develop, document, and execute laboratory test procedures for the product portfolio.
• Assist R&D teams in assembly, modification, and testing of commercial cooking equipment.
• Support lab testing to resolve vendor quality defects and field issues.
• Regularly report progress to management; collaborate with Engineering.
