Job summary

Milwaukee Tool is hiring a Design Engineer for the Front-End Innovation team. You will identify user problems and translate them into breakthrough concepts, building prototypes and iterating with 3D modeling and rapid prototyping tools.

You will collaborate across engineering, product marketing, and design to validate ideas, assess feasibility, and drive fast, high-impact solutions that enhance productivity and safety on the jobsite.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Engineering Mechanics, Mechatronics, or related field.
• 1–2 years of experience in product development, innovation, or concept engineering; demonstrated ability to deliver innovative solutions.
• Experience on front-end innovation teams preferred.
• Proficiency with CAD, analysis tools, 3D printing, rapid prototyping methods.

Responsibilities

• Build and iterate prototypes using 3D modeling, simulation, and rapid prototyping tools.
• Translate field research into actionable user insights.
• Perform engineering analysis to evaluate feasibility, performance, and risk.
• Communicate design intent, tradeoffs, and recommendations to stakeholders.
• Collaborate with product marketing, design research, and engineering teams to push innovation.
