Job summary

Milwaukee Tool is seeking a Design Engineer to join the Front-End Innovation team. You will identify user problems and translate them into breakthrough concepts, working end-to-end from discovery through validation and handoff.

Expect a fast-paced, collaborative environment with strong emphasis on prototyping, CAD, and rapid iteration to deliver high-impact tools that enhance productivity and safety on job sites.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science degree in a mechanical/related engineering field.
• 1-2 years of product development experience with innovative solutions.
• Experience on front end innovation teams preferred.
• Solid engineering fundamentals across mechanics, materials, and manufacturing.
• Experience creating and using prototypes to drive learning and decisions.
• Proficiency with CAD, analysis tools, 3D printing, and rapid prototyping.

Responsibilities

• Identify real user problems and translate into breakthrough concepts.
• Operate in a fast-paced, collaborative environment from discovery to handoff.
• Build and iterate prototypes using 3D modeling and rapid prototyping tools.
• Collaborate with marketing, design research, and NPD/ADV teams.
• Communicate design intent, tradeoffs, and recommendations to stakeholders.
