Job summary

Express Employment Professionals - Cincinnati East is seeking an Engineering Technician II in Camas, WA. This full-time, contract position spans 5-6 weeks and offers hourly compensation. You will support prototype builds, testing, troubleshooting, and documentation to assist engineers in a fast-paced lab.

Ideal candidates have 2+ years of hands-on experience, read schematics, use multimeters/oscilloscopes, and solder. A high school diploma or GED is required, with an Associate's degree preferred.

Qualifications

• As a hands-on technician, 2+ years of relevant experience is required.
• Ability to read schematics, wiring diagrams, and mechanical drawings.
• Experience with multimeters, oscilloscopes, and soldering.
• Strong mechanical aptitude and attention to detail.
• Team player with good communication skills.
• GD&T, PLCs, or Visual Basic experience is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Assemble, maintain, and upgrade prototypes (mechanical + wiring + soldering).
• Support builds using motors, sensors, pneumatics, and related systems.
• Perform testing and accurately document results.
• Troubleshoot issues with prototypes and assemblies.
• Provide technical support to engineers.
• Keep workspaces clean, safe, and organized.
