Job summary

Keysight Technologies is seeking an on-site R&D Technician in Budd Lake, NJ to support prototype hardware from assembly through design validation. You will solder, test, troubleshoot, and document modifications while coordinating with engineers to keep schedules on track.

The role requires hands-on experience with precision surface-mount soldering, PCB repair, and instrument testing in a fast-paced environment. 12-month contract with potential extension, onsite work only.

Qualifications

• Associate or technical diploma required.
• Hands-on soldering and rework under a microscope.
• Experience repairing high copper-weight PCBs.
• Experience assembling prototype hardware and instruments.
• Ability to support design validation testing and debugging.
• Strong attention to detail and teamwork.

Responsibilities

• Assemble, modify, test, and troubleshoot prototype units and modules.
• Build and maintain prototype hardware to meet development schedules.
• Perform board-level modifications and PCA verification testing.
• Execute precision surface-mount soldering and rework with microscopes.
• Document modifications, status, rework activities, and verification results.
• Collaborate with engineers and cross-functional teams to hit milestones.
