Job summary

IEM is seeking a highly motivated Assembly and Wiring Technician for our prototyping team in the shop environment. You will assemble metallic, electric and plastic components, inspect, and test complex electrical/mechanical systems, following drawings and BOMs.

The role requires self-motivation and meticulous production scheduling to keep projects on track. Responsibilities include wiring terminations, labeling, device mounting, data entry, and maintaining a clean, safe workspace.

Qualifications

• 3-5 years of assembly experience; preferably in both mechanical and wiring.
• 1-2 years of experience, or training in document control.
• Forklift experience a plus.
• Lean manufacturing experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assemble metallic, electric and plastic components following drawings, specifications and bills of material.
• Terminate, route, bundle, and label wires and wire harnesses according to IEM standards, and methods.
• Operate computer, terminal and wire labeling equipment.
• Mount devices using various tools including, drills, taps, wrenches and clamps.
• Escalate problems and communicate progress.
• Accurately transact data and update dashboards.
