Job summary

Primetals Technologies USA seeks an Electrical Assembly II at our Benton Harbor, MI facility. You will assemble and test electrical sub-assemblies under minimal supervision, using technical drawings and wiring schematics.

Candidates need a high school diploma and 2+ years' experience with voltage/ohm meters, hand tools, and electrical testing gear. Safety gear is required and training on blueprints is provided.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of experience using voltage/ohm meters and basic electrical testing tools.
• Proficiency with hand tools and standard electrical testing equipment.
• Safety boots, hard hat, glasses, gloves, fall protection and dust mask required.

Responsibilities

• Preps, assembles, and tests electrical sub-assemblies or units under limited supervision.
• Follows technical drawings and directions to complete tasks.
• Reads basic wiring schematics and blueprints for installation.
• Bends conduit for proper installation using standard formulas.
• Performs thermocouple heat tests and basic Mold repair troubleshooting.
• Operates pipe threading machines and may oversee material work flow.
• Reports additional work needs and rework to Supervisor.
• Determines operation sequences where specs are unavailable.
• May provide leadership for lower classified employees.
• May operate an overhead crane or forklift.
