Job summary

Figure is an AI Robotics company based in San Jose, CA, developing a general-purpose humanoid. We are seeking a Prototype Development Technician to build early-stage mechanical and electromechanical assemblies for humanoid robot development.

The role requires 5+ days/week in-office collaboration and a hands-on approach to design iteration, testing, and documentation with engineers from mechanical, electrical, and software domains.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in mechanical or electromechanical prototyping or assembly.
• Strong mechanical and electrical aptitude.
• Ability to interpret engineering drawings, CAD models, and wiring diagrams.
• Demonstrated ability to diagnose and troubleshoot issues across mechanical and electrical.
• Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment with shifting priorities.

Figure is an AI Robotics company developing a general purpose humanoid. Our humanoid robot is designed for commercial tasks and the home. We are based in San Jose, CA and require 5 days/week in-office collaboration. It's time to build.

We are looking for a Prototype Development Technician to take a hands-on role in building early stage mechanical and electromechanical assemblies for humanoid robot development.

Responsibilities:

• Build mechanical and electromechanical assemblies from CAD, schematics, and verbal guidance - often with limited to no work instructions
• Perform electrical tasks including wiring, soldering, and assembling custom harnesses
• Help execute tests, diagnose issues and implement solutions in partner with engineering teams

Requirements:

• 5+ years of experience in mechanical or electromechanical prototyping or assembly

Bonus Qualifications:

• Experience with 3D printing, machining, or other in house fabrication

The US hourly range for this full-time position is between $30 - $40/hr.

The pay offered for this position may vary based on several individual factors, including job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. The total compensation package may also include additional components/benefits depending on the specific role. This information will be shared if an employment offer is extended.
