Job summary

Meta seeks an experienced Prototype Build Engineer to lead prototype builds from concept through delivery. You will partner with internal teams and vendors to plan resources and manage schedules, delivering high-quality prototypes on time.

Responsibilities include collaboration with Research Engineers, risk mitigation, and maintaining detailed build plans. You will drive process improvements and coordinate cross-functional teams to align on goals and standards.

Qualifications

• BS degree in engineering or related field; equivalent experience accepted.
• 5+ years of experience with consumer electronic products.
• 2+ years in hardware development cycles and sustaining hardware.
• 2+ years in manufacturing assembly and test development.
• Experience leading engineers and technicians in daily work.

Responsibilities

• Lead prototype builds from concept to delivery with internal and external partners.
• Plan and manage resources to execute prototype builds and meet schedules.
• Collaborate with Research Engineers to deliver prototypes on demand.
• Develop recovery plans to address schedule setbacks and risks.
• Coordinate assembly flow support across functions to ensure on-time delivery.
• Provide program status updates and risk assessments to management.
• Define scope, timelines, resources, risks, and dependencies for builds.
