Job summary

Prefix Corporation seeks an experienced interior trim prototype technician to fabricate and assemble automotive interior components. You will design soft trim, sculpt foam parts, and develop patterns for cutting and covering seating areas.

The role requires hands-on expertise, a high school diploma or GED, and a technical certificate is preferred. Strong budgeting and resource planning skills are expected to meet customer specifications.

Qualifications

• Background in interior prototype development with a minimum of 5 years hands-on experience.
• High School or GED equivalent required.
• A certificate from an accredited technical or industrial trade school is preferred.
• Self-starter with proficiency in budgeting time and allocating resources.

Responsibilities

• Design and fabricate automotive interior soft trim.
• Sculpture foam components for prototypes.
• Create patterns to cut and trim covering materials to fit seating and interior components.
• Leather wrap interior components.
• Measure and cut specified covering material.
• Operate sewing machine to seam and join covering material.
