Job summary

Crebit in San Francisco, CA is seeking a Protocol Engineer to build the off-chain protocol powering FX hedges and quote engines. You will design APIs for fintech customers, implement the matching logic and queueing primitives to ensure safe operation under load.

The role requires hands-on experience with production financial systems, invariant thinking, and familiarity with Solana RPC or Geth/Reth internals.

Qualifications

• You've built production financial systems - exchange, payments, or treasury infra.
• You read TLA+ for fun (or at least know when to reach for it).
• You think in invariants: this number should never go negative, here's why.
• You've worked with Solana RPC or Geth/Reth internals at some point.

Responsibilities

• Own the rate-lock state machine across quote / lock / settle / expire / refund.
• Build the liquidity matching layer that pairs hedge requests with our book.
• Ship Go or Rust services that hit p99 < 50ms on quote generation.
• Design the public REST + webhook API our fintech customers use.

Build the off-chain protocol that powers Crebit's FX hedges - quote engine, lock state machine, settlement orchestrator.
You'll design APIs that fintech customers integrate, the matching logic that pairs liquidity, and the queueing primitives that keep everything safe under load.

About The Role

We're a small team building the FX layer that powers cross-border money for fintechs, neobanks, and consumers in 10+ countries. You'll be early - your code will be in production within your first two weeks.
You might be a fit if
