Key Responsibilities:
- Provide musical accompaniment for all Protestant worship services and special services.
- Lead and assist with worship songs in coordination with the Protestant choir director.
- Attend and support weekly choir rehearsals, ensuring all necessary setup and takedown are completed.
- Recruit and collaborate with special musicians from the congregation.
- Organize and maintain music resources.
- Plan and coordinate music selections and schedules with the service chaplain for regular and special services.
Requirements:
- Minimum of three years of experience in church or military chapel accompanist roles, demonstrating proficiency in a variety of music styles, including gospel, contemporary, traditional, and liturgical.
- A bachelor’s degree in music is preferred but not required; five years of experience may substitute for formal education.
- Familiarity with and commitment to maintaining a professional and respectful environment in a pluralistic military setting.
