Duties

• Perform for all regularly scheduled worship services, praise team rehearsals, and additional services as requested.
• Support and assist the Lead Faith Group Chaplain or designee in selecting appropriate music and audio/visual requirements.
• Work closely with the pastoral team in determining worship style and song selection.
• Create song slides for worship services and turn them in to the Lead Faith Group Chaplain or designee weekly at a predetermined time.
• Conduct and lead weekly praise team rehearsals.
• Continually upgrade and maintain the music library and songs used in the worship service.
• Ensure that all facilities and musical equipment are properly secured after use.
• Maintain model decorum with special attention to dress and conduct oneself in a manner appropriate for religious services and programs.

Qualifications

• Believe and adhere to the basic tenants of the Protestant Christian faith.
• Ability to play a musical instrument and lead worship simultaneously.
• Have a basic understanding of military protocol and the ability to communicate effectively with a diverse population.

Education / Experience

• Have a minimum of 2 years’ experience with a church and/or chapel program directing and leading contemporary or blended worship.
