Job summary

Hilmar Cheese Company is seeking a Protein Packaging Operator to run the packaging process and related equipment in a dairy manufacturing environment. The role includes ensuring proper sealing, accurate paperwork, and operating computer controls, with a focus on food safety, GMP compliance, and continuous improvement.

Candidates should have a high school diploma or GED, basic computer skills, and the ability to lift up to 60 lbs.

Qualifications

High School diploma or GED required.
SAP experience preferred.
Dairy manufacturing experience preferred.
Ability to lift up to 60 lbs and stand for long periods.

Responsibilities

Operation of the packaging systems to ensure adequately sealed and properly filled bags and totes.
Responsible for maintaining accurate and complete paperwork.
Ability to learn and operate computer related controls.
Ongoing improvement of knowledge and understanding of all dryer process equipment and protein in general.
Maintain and monitor all QC and production programs per HCC standards.
Responsible for maintaining equipment and work environment cleanliness.
Responsible for proper product handling to ensure minimum product loss.
Responsible for following GMP guidelines and all company policies as outlined in the employee handbook.
Active participation and ownership in training and development program and related activities.
Help coach and train teammates and participate in on the job, buddy training.
Prioritize safety and communicate any safety incidents or opportunities to leadership.
