Job summary

American Protection Solutions (APS) is seeking an Armed Security Officer to protect clients and staff across multiple sites in DC and Maryland. The role requires alertness, strong communication, and the ability to respond calmly to incidents.

Candidates must hold DC DCSO/DC CCW or DC SPO licenses and Maryland Guard Card with Wear and Carry, have 2+ years of security experience, and pass a background check and drug screening. Part-time position with hourly pay.

Security Officers will play a critical role in maintaining a safe and secure environment for clients, employees, and visitors. This position requires strong communication skills, attention to detail, and the ability to respond calmly and effectively to situations.

Requirements:

• DC: Valid DCSO and DC CCW or DC SPO License

• Must have your own external carrier, body armor, duty belt and minimum level 2 duty holster
• All equipment MUST be approved by APS
• Minimum of 2 years of experience in security or law enforcement roles.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills for effective interaction.
• Ability to remain calm and composed in high-pressure situations.
• Proficient in using security technology and equipment.
• Strong attention to detail and observational skills.
• Ability to work flexible hours, including nights and weekends.

Compensation: $25.00 - $28.00 per hour
