Job summary

The U.S. Secret Service Police (Uniformed Division) seeks dedicated Officers to protect facilities and venues secured for protectees in Washington, DC. The position requires relocation to DC and offers rigorous training and a clear path to career status.

Officers perform protective assignments, safeguard the White House complex, and travel in support of presidential, vice presidential, and foreign missions, with duties and training outlined for excellence in security and service.

Qualifications

• Must be a U.S. citizen and eligible to work in the United States.
• Must be at least 20 years old and up to 40 at referral.
• Must pass drug test and random testing while in position.
• Must obtain Top-Secret security clearance and retain it.
• Must possess a valid driver’s license and REAL ID compliance.
• Must complete 13 weeks of intensive training at FLETC and 18 weeks at Rowley Training Center.

Responsibilities

• Safeguard the White House complex, the Vice President’s residence, and other designated facilities, and protect foreign missions and embassies.
• Provide security for presidential, vice presidential, and foreign heads of state/government missions.
• Travel in support of the Presidential and Foreign missions.
• Enforce mandated protective responsibilities under Title 18, U.S. Code, Section 3056A.
