  • Able to lift 50 lbs and perform physical work in varied conditions.
  • Certifications in industrial painting (e.g., NACE, SSPC).
  • Experience in fabrication or manufacturing environments.
  • Experience with forklift or overhead crane operation.

Responsibilities

  • Carry out sandblasting to remove contaminants and achieve the required surface profile.
  • Prepare and apply industrial coatings using spray guns, brushes, and rollers.
  • Complete all pre-application prep, including cleaning, degreasing, and masking.
  • Inspect coated parts for consistent coverage, target thickness, and overall quality standards.
  • Observe safety protocols and wear PPE without exception.
  • Maintain and care for painting and blasting equipment; report any malfunctions promptly.
  • Monitor temperature and humidity; adjust techniques and timing to suit conditions.
  • Keep workspaces clean and ensure proper storage of materials and tools.
  • Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and work orders to confirm specifications.
  • Communicate effectively with supervisors and peers on progress and issues.
