Job summary

• Coordinate, de-conflict, and integrate protection staff initiatives, policies, and activities within the state.
• Consult the Chief of Staff and unit commanders on protection.
• Establish working relationships with local, state, and federal law enforcement agencies.
• Conduct intelligence integration and information operations to assess potential threat and create ARNG integrated protection program.
• Prepare Protection plans, templates and planning tools for subordinate units; write comprehensive all-hazard plans; direct active and passive security measures.
• Review practices and activities to ensure compliance with directives and integration with other security programs.
• Synchronize daily operations and integration, coordination and plans resource management for AT/EM/LE/MA/PS.
• Involve all measures related to security for ARNG installations, facilities, arms/munitions storage and personnel.
• Represent the Deputy Chief of Staff for Operations at meetings and boards; chair various committees to resolve protection issues.

Education

Ph.D. or equivalent doctoral degree or 3 full years of progressively higher level graduate education leading to such a degree or LL.M.
