Job summary

Fluidstack is seeking a Protection Engineer to design and supervise protection and controls for campus power, including relay settings and coordination for MV and HV systems. You will own the settings, coordinate studies, and help design the P&C architecture across relays, communications, and SCADA integration.

Responsibilities include supporting commissioning, verifying settings, and addressing root causes from field tests.

Qualifications

• Experience in protection engineering for MV/HV systems.
• Hands-on development of SEL or equivalent settings.
• Field commissioning of protection schemes.
• Analysis of relay operations from event records.
• Settings files managed like safety-critical code.

Responsibilities

• Engineer protection and controls for campus power: relaying schemes from generation to distribution.
• Own the settings and coordination studies, verified and configuration-managed.
• Design the P&C architecture: relays, communications, SCADA integration.
• Support commissioning: settings loaded, functions tested, root-caused issues addressed.
