Job summary

A national engineering firm is looking for an early to mid-level electrical engineer focused on designing high voltage substations. The successful candidate will work under the guidance of a Senior Engineer on tasks such as developing diagrams, preparing specifications, and monitoring project budgets. Ideal candidates have a degree in electrical engineering (BSEE or MSEE), 2-10 years of experience, and familiarity with AutoCAD. Job Description:

Early to Mid-level electrical engineering position (working under the direction of a Senior Engineer) focused on the performance of relatively routine activities and tasks related to the design of high voltage substations (15kV to 500kV).

Typical duties include (but are not limited to):

• Develop single line and schematic diagrams.
• Prepare material specifications.
• Monitor budget and schedule for assigned tasks.
• Work with designers and drafters to guide the development of drawings.

Desired Education, Experience, and Training:

• BSEE or MSEE required.
• EIT or PE preferred.
• 2-10 years' experience in the field with a basic knowledge of applicable theories, practices and accepted procedures.
• Ability to quickly develop broader knowledge through performing structured functional assignments, such as collecting and analyzing data related to specific tasks.
• Computer proficiency as well as strong analytical and problem‑solving skills.
• Experience with AutoCAD preferred.
• Accuracy and attention to detail as well as ability to meet deadlines and complete assignments.
• Basic written and verbal communication skills in English.
• Commitment to customer service and ability to work in a team‑oriented environment.
